SuperService™ is a rapidly growing service provider for Mobile / Crawler Cranes, Earth Moving, Trucks, Access and Material Handling Equipment.

Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are eagerly looking for an experienced Workshop Leading Hand.

The ideal candidate will have significant and broad experience in service, repairs and running a heavy equipment workshop including field service.

You will be very much hands-on, a natural leader with excellent planning, communication and coordination skills ensuring high quality, on-time and profitable outcomes.

A major requirement of this role is to ensure the workshop and field service divisions have good direction, understanding the tasks at hand.

To achieve this, you will be results driven and willing to work with the team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Promote OHSE culture and strive for ZERO harm
Maintain clean and orderly work environment and harmonious motivated culture
Work closely with the Workshop and Field Service TEAM
Ability to diagnose mechanical repairs and identify necessary parts, communicate technically with suppliers, customers
Work closely with internal parts TEAM to order/ identify necessary equipment
Prepare, review and communicate quotations with customers
Collate and review staff timesheets and Job cards
Conduct/document pre-start and monthly toolbox meetings
Coordinate and plan on call rosters, leave coverage
Set goals to exceed quality, efficiency, cost-control, end of job review
Review and assist update processes and methods for continual improvement in practices, outcomes and safety
Ensure completed jobs are checked and signed off
To be successful in this role you require:

Results focussed with exceptional communication skills
Trade background in Heavy Diesel and Hydraulics
Experience with Cranes, Heavy Equipment and Earth moving equipment
Strong parts knowledge
A safety conscious attitude
An effective, motivational leader
Hands on and willingness to assist
